What are you most proud of, and what would you do differently next time?

    • I'm really proud i was able to tackle such a relatively large project and finish it. If i was to start over i would plan better, as this time i didn't have a well structured plan and that affected me along the line.

What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

‐ The deployment process with GitHub pages was a bit of a hassle so i switched to Netlify.

    • General Project structure wasn't very sturdy so that cases a lot of problems, being that i used Vanilla Javascript to build the page router.

What specific areas of your project would you like help with?

    • suggestions in regards to project architecture, as well a proper project planning framework and refactoring methodologies would be greatly appreciated.

What are you most proud of, and what would you do differently next time?

    • the algorithm that calculates the height of each bar in the chart, but i do believe it could be done better.

What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

the major challenge was the algorithm for the bars but discussions with other developers helped get the ball rolling.

What specific areas of your project would you like help with?

    • anything i can do better in regards to the JavaScript would be very much appreciated.

What are you most proud of, and what would you do differently next time?

Most proud of - This might be pretty silly but the fact the when you type in the form fields the input will be displayed on the card. It's simple but still.

What i would do differently - In terms of what i would have done differently, would be my approach to the project as a whole.

What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

    Challenges

    • one major challenge was be getting to fully validate the data,
    • another was positioning the card components properly, for some reason.

    Solution

    • for validation, i still haven't been able to fully validate the form due to some knowledge gaps in regards to form validation in general.
    • for the card components, i restructured the html and used position properties.

What specific areas of your project would you like help with?

    • if anyone has resources on learning client-side form validation using the Constraint Validation API, i would be more than grateful.

    • and if i could see how you would tackle this project, i would be able to learn alot from you, so if you've done this project before and successfully completed all the features, please share your solution so i can learn from it. thanks.

I sorta burnt-out on this project , but i'm glad i was able to finish it, thank God.

Please have a look at my Mark-up, if i made proper Semantic decisions, and Naming decisions in regards to BEM.

What do you think i could've done better? Would really appreciate your feedback.

This project gave the opportunity to explore the multifaceted world of HTML Forms, Client Side Form Validation and a bit of accessibility concerns in regards to forms. I'm glad i was able to complete the challenge but i must admit that i had some difficulties in :

    • The Responsive design on the desktop side of things; precisely making the image and the content exist without one growing more than the other.

and there were things i was a bit unsure of, such as:

    • the overall mark up of things; i had to have two img elements present in the HTML (one for the mobile view and the other for the desktop view) and i would display them based on the screen size the browser detects through the media query, i don't know if that was the best approach but it worked.

    • and of course, if i followed well on writing Semantic HTML.

Please have a look at my solution and let me know if you have any feedback as to a better way of doing things. thank you.

Hey guys, here i am again attempting another Frontend Mentor Challenge and i can't begin to describe how impactful this community has been to my growth. All the comments and suggestions helped me gain a substantial amount of confidence when i was working through the HTML/CSS projects when i first started here and i learned so much from the way other people did things and the broadened my view on things and i just want to say thank you to everyone here for being part of this community, because without you there would be no community and without this community, where would i be?

so if you're reading this right, i just want you to know i grateful for you being here. and yes this was a thank you speech 😁 but if you do have any comments about my HTML Structuring especially in regards to my choice of Semantic Elements to use, BEM naming, CSS, or JavaScript and you believe there is a better way i could've done things, please leave a comment, suggestion or recommendation (whatsoever), thank you very much.

johnny says h3lllo once again, it's been a while since i submitted a solution. I've been heavily swarmed but it feels really good to submit this.

difficulties -this particular solution was a bit frustrating because i kept repeating myself in the CSS -i couldn't figure out how to get the form validation to work with just HTML & CSS.

uncertainty -I'm not exactly sure of my HTML in terms of semantics. -i repeated myself a whole lot 😅

questions -if you have an idea on how to validate forms with just HTML & CSS your comments would be very much appreciated. -if you have advice on better semantic HTML practices in this case please leave a comment. -does anyone have any idea in terms of better code refactoring practices? please i would appreciate all your feedback. thanks guys

Hey guys, just finished this one. was a bit tricky to get around the decisions in terms of markup at the footer section but i got around it even though i repeated myself a whole lot 😅. what do you guys think of my code? and what suggestions do you have for my solution?

ps: i just noticed i didn't change the font colors on the body part. shoot!

crazy thing is, this challenge was what made me decide to start building all these practice projects. i came accross this particular one from Kevin Powell's YouTube Channel and said "why not" then tried to build it and ended up spending 4 hours staring at the HTML markup being frustrated about not knowing what to do hehehe.

so i dedicated this month to taking on these challenges, and one by one with the help from all the feedback from everyone here (especially my friend, Lucas 👊🏽), I've learnt soo much and when i tried this project again, i built everything in less than half the time i spent staring at the HTML initially.

what do you guys think of my code in terms of readability, modularity and scalability. your comments have been really helpful in regards to my growth so i do always appreciated the feedback.

here's another one from me 😁. this one really had me dusting my knowledge on CSS positiong. also learnt how to make speech bubbles, so that was cool.

what do you guys think of my code tho? would love to hear your thoughts on that.

hey guys, it's been a few days since i submitted a solution. i started this challenge 3 days ago and was able to complete it today against all odds 😅.

i did run into series of #Difficulties with this challenge, being that this was the first time doing one like this where i had to build the mock image with CSS. maybe i should be playing more CSS Battle 😅.

    • first challenge i encountered was making the notch for the mock phone image.
    • then the background graphics.
    • i also found it a bit difficult to create the check circles for the pricing tags.
    • then overtime because of the consistent trial and error it was a bit hard to manage my code.

    #Uncertainties

    • in terms of uncertainty, i don't think i really managed my code properly.

    #Questions

    • if you have advice in regards to improving modularity. i would be really glad to know more on it.
    • and if you have any comments about my code in general please feel free to comment.

this challenge was unexpectedly challenging for me 😅. i didn't expect that but i believe with struggle comes growth and i was happy to experience something new.

    (2nd Attempt)

Hey guys, at this time I've completed all the challenges on Frontend Mentor that requires only HTML & CSS to complete.

in this project, I initially found it a bit tricky to get the cards to stack as specified in the design but well, I used a lot of CSS Grid to get the design specifications. at some point, i thought it was a little too much Grid 😅 but I'm not sure so please feel free to tell me what you think of my code and solution in general. any advice on best practices would be really appreciated.

i feel I'm getting better at building things with CSS. this challenge did feel alot easier to do than most of earlier ones 😅. please let me know what you think of my solution and my code. incase there is something i did inappropriately. thanks guys

hey everyone, I'm super grateful to everyone giving me feedback every since i started these challenges. your words have really helped me grow to understand alot more about development so i say Thank you so much.

    here's another challenge I've completed.

    • the one uncertainty i have is not using grid as well, still getting used to it 😅. so if you have any comments about that or my solution in general, please know that i am open to learn from you. thank you

this observation is after i submitted

    • i noticed my solution in comparison to the design was looking a little squished. can anyone help me with that? I've ran out of ideas 🤖

hey guys, 😁. it's me again

    #Difficulties

    • i still found it a bit hard to switch the mobile image with the desktop image. please if there's a better approach to achieving this please i would love to hear it.

hey guys, finally got another one done.

here are some of my observations from taking on this challenge.

    #Difficulties-and-Uncertainties

    • although my major difficulty was being able to place the profile image at the specified position, i was able to get it done but i still am not exactly sure i took the best approach. please if you have suggestions in regards to a better approach, i would love to know about it.
    • secondly, i had a bit of an issue positioning the svg background image properly. i still got it done to some degree but I'm not exactly sure of it in terms of scalability on other viewports. if you do have an idea on the best way to position them, i am open to learn from you.
