Browsing Available Learning Paths
To explore learning paths:
- Navigate to the Learning Paths section from the main navigation
- Browse the available paths displayed on the page
- Use any available filters to narrow down paths by topic, difficulty, or duration
Each path card shows key information at a glance, including the path title, a brief description, and indicators of length or difficulty.
Understanding Path Requirements and Outcomes
Before enrolling in a path, review its details page to understand what you're committing to.
Learning Outcomes
The path details page lists what you'll be able to do after completing the path. Review these outcomes to ensure they match your learning goals. Outcomes might include specific skills, techniques, or knowledge areas you'll gain.
Prerequisites
Check whether the path requires any prior knowledge or skills. Prerequisites might include:
- Familiarity with certain technologies or languages
- Completion of another learning path
- Understanding of specific concepts
If you don't meet the prerequisites, consider completing the recommended preparation first to get the most from the path.
Path Contents
Review the list of steps in the path to understand what you'll be working through. This gives you a sense of the topics covered and the types of challenges included.
Time Commitment
Consider how long it might take to complete the path. This helps you plan your learning schedule and set realistic expectations.
Enrolling in a Path
Once you've chosen a path:
- Click the Start Path button on the path detail page
- The path will be added to your active learning paths
- You'll be taken to the first step of the path
Enrolling in a path doesn't lock you into anything. You can pause, resume, or leave a path at any time.
Navigating Between Steps
As you work through a path, you'll move between articles and challenges.
Moving Forward
After completing a step:
- A Continue button is shown at the bottom
- Click it to proceed to the next step in the path
- The path tracker updates to show your new position
Viewing the Path Overview
At any point, you can return to the path overview to:

- Check which steps you've completed
- Jump to a specific completed step for review
Step Types
- Article steps: Read the content, then mark it complete to proceed
- Challenge steps: Complete the challenge workflow (covered in the next guide) to unlock the next step
Tracking Your Progress
The platform tracks your progress through each path automatically.
Progress Indicators
- A progress bar or percentage shows how far through the path you are
- Completed steps are marked with a checkmark or completion indicator
- Your current step is highlighted
Viewing Your Active Paths
To see all paths you're currently enrolled in:
- Go to your Home dashboard
- Look for “My learning paths” in the secondary navigation
- Each path shows your current progress
Resuming Where You Left Off
When you return to the platform after a break:
- Navigate to your active learning paths
- Select the path you want to continue
- Click Continue to pick up where you stopped
The platform remembers your exact position, so you won't lose progress or have to figure out where you were.
Managing Multiple Paths
You can be enrolled in multiple learning paths simultaneously.
Best Practices for Multiple Paths
- Focus on one at a time: While you can have multiple active paths, focusing on one path leads to better retention and faster completion
- Related paths: If working on multiple paths, choose ones with complementary topics
- Track your commitments: Don't enroll in more paths than you can realistically work on
Next Steps
Now that you know how to start and navigate a learning path, the next guide explains how to complete the challenges within a path, including the submission and review process.
