news-homepage with css grid

Super glad that I finished my news-homepage. I made for the first time a layout with css grid-template-columns. I'am curious if I could made it more flexible, the content seams to be smaller ten the container sometimes. I also had a struggle with the animation of the mobile menu. When it closes the background and the menu disappears directly instead of waiting to slide the menu first and then disappearing the background. I solved the problem now by setting a Timeout in javascript. Is this the right approach for the problem??
