A solution to the Personal blog challenge

Solution retrospective

What are you most proud of, and what would you do differently next time?

I’m most proud of trying a CMS like Strapi for the first time and successfully deploying a backend on Render. It was a new experience for me, and I learned a lot through the process.

Next time, I would focus more on animations and loading states to improve the user experience. I didn’t spend much time on those this time because of difficult circumstances in my home country, which made it hard to fully concentrate.

What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

One of the main challenges I encountered was building tables in the blog formatting guide using Strapi. It turned out to be quite limited in this area, and I wasn’t able to implement tables the way I initially intended.

To work around this, I focused on structuring the content in a simpler format and continued with the rest of the project instead of getting stuck on that limitation. This helped me keep progress and complete the core functionality of the project.

What specific areas of your project would you like help with?

There are two specific areas of my project where I would like help: 1. Creating tables using the Strapi rich text (blocks) editor. I couldn’t find a reliable way to implement tables within the blog content. 2. Applying different colors within code blocks (for example, syntax highlighting where different parts of the code appear in different colors).
