Solution retrospective

I found sizing the element a bit harder than I initially thought. But using relative units helped having a bit of consistency in both sizing and spacing.
I am still not sure about the fonts. It is a bit stretched on the design and I can't seem to reproduce it.
What are best practices regarding input validation ?
