Your Dashboard Explained

Your Frontend Mentor dashboard is your home base on the platform. It provides quick access to your challenges, learning progress, saved content, and community activity. This guide walks you through each section to help you navigate effectively.

Dashboard Overview

When you log in to Frontend Mentor, you land on your personalized dashboard. The dashboard is organized into distinct sections, each serving a specific purpose.

My Feed

The My Feed section keeps you connected with the Frontend Mentor community by showing activity from developers you follow.

What Appears in Your Feed

  • New solutions - When someone you follow submits a challenge solution
  • Tagged solutions - When submits a solution that includes a tag you follow (e.g., React)
  • Comments and feedback - Feedback given by people you follow
  • Challenge completions - When someone submits a solution to a challenge you have completed

Getting the Most from Your Feed

Your feed is only as valuable as the developers you follow. Here are some tips:

  1. Follow active community members - Look for developers who regularly submit solutions and provide thoughtful feedback
  2. Follow developers at various skill levels - Learn from those ahead of you and support those coming up behind you
  3. Follow tags you are interested in - Learn from how others use the tools you are learning
  4. Engage with feed content - Like solutions, leave comments, and participate in discussions
  5. Discover new people to follow - When you see great solutions or helpful comments, check out that developer's profile

Tip: If your feed feels empty, head to the Wall of Fame and start following developers whose work inspires you.

My Challenges

The My Challenges section tracks all your challenge activity, making it easy to manage your current projects and revisit completed work.

In-Progress Challenges

This area shows challenges you have started but not yet submitted. Having visibility into your in-progress challenges helps you:

  • Avoid starting too many challenges at once
  • Return to paused projects easily
  • Easily submit solutions to in-progress challenges

Completed Challenges

Once you submit a solution, the challenge moves to your completed section. Here you can:

  • View your submitted solution
  • See feedback received from the community on each solution

My Learning Paths

If you have enrolled in any learning paths, this section tracks your progress through each one.

What You Will See

For each enrolled learning path:

  • Path name and description - What the path covers
  • Progress indicator - Visual representation of how far you have come

Managing Multiple Paths

You can enroll in multiple learning paths simultaneously, though we recommend focusing on one or two at a time to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

My Bookmarks

The bookmarks feature lets you save solutions from other developers for future reference. This is invaluable for building a personal library of techniques and inspiration.

Why Bookmark Solutions?

  • Learn new techniques - Save solutions that demonstrate approaches you want to study
  • Reference implementations - Keep examples of well-structured code for future projects
  • Inspiration - Collect designs and interactions that inspire your own work
  • Compare approaches - Bookmark multiple solutions to the same challenge to see different methods

Organizing Your Bookmarks

Your bookmarks are displayed with:

  • Solution preview image
  • Developer who created it
  • Technologies used

Browse through your bookmarks whenever you need inspiration or want to review how others solved a particular problem.

Tip: When you see a solution with a technique you want to learn, bookmark it immediately. You will thank yourself later when you need that reference.

My Network

The My Network section shows your connections within the Frontend Mentor community.

Followers

Developers who follow you will see your activity in their feed. A growing follower count indicates that your solutions and contributions are valuable to the community.

Following

This shows the developers you follow. Their activity appears in your My Feed section. You can:

  • View the complete list of developers you follow
  • Visit their profiles directly
  • Unfollow if their content is no longer relevant to you

Building Your Network

A strong network enhances your Frontend Mentor experience:

  1. Quality over quantity - Follow developers whose work genuinely interests you
  2. Engage meaningfully - Comment on solutions, provide feedback, and participate in discussions
  3. Be active - The more you contribute, the more likely others are to follow you
  4. Support beginners - Helping newcomers builds goodwill and strengthens the community
