  Also made this with react and made same decision to leave mobile design also for a desktop because it is too much pain to work with :before :after and removing div, good idea to leave it like this. But few improvements i might suggest:

  1. Start from mobile first - it is much easier to adapt further, trust me ,I also was a fan of desktop first.
  2. Making share background 100% width of a content block, by removing padding from container and adding to all stuff other then profile , for example.

  Also many other things , but you did well anyways, so GJ
