Chat app with messaging animation and iPhone 'incoming message' bubble

I completed this challenge with responsive design using css grid auto-fit. To give myself more of a challenge I wanted to make the messages appear over time so it looked like a live conversation between 2 people. I also added in the incoming message bubble that you see when someone is messaging you using an iPhone. I animated this in javascript because I wanted to practise async/await and setInterval, but I realise I could have done this entirely in css. Any feedback is welcomed :)
