Solution retrospective
Is the background even implemented correctly (should I use <img> as a background)?
Is my conditional CSS code in this one overkill?
Am I using measurements correctly or is it all over the place with px, vw, rem all mixed together?
Took me 3 hours to do everything except for the backgrounds. In total I spent about 8 hours. Way more then I should have. I'd build a statue to the one who implements a background-overflow: property in the next CSS update. I need it like salt. It would have saved me 3 hours of headaches :)
