Interactive comments section solution in HTML, CSS and JavaScript

Interactive comments section has been a great challenge as a beginner, I had challenges in working and managing states of the Page, If I am to redo it, I would prefer using a framework like Reactjs. Working with Json objects hasn't been easy especially traversing the DOM to get IDs that can be used to fetch data in the object. I feel like if I were to be working with a real database like MySQL. I will be grateful to have feedback on how my code has been structured, and any suggestions on how I can improve the Code structure for reusability and a cleaner code.
