Solution retrospective
I must admit it was more complicated than expected: I'm not used to handling APIs in vanilla javascript :( I had to look at tutorials and other community projects, just so I was able to finish the project. The app, of course, is far from perfect so if someone wants to give me some advice they will certainly be welcome :)
