A solution to the Newsletter sign-up form with success message challenge

Solution retrospective

My question is about validating the form. I know there are tons of ways of validating form inputs but I wonder if the way I implemented it was good or if it might be annoying getting feedback (showing the user that the input is not valid) while typing, maybe most people would prefer to receive feedback AFTER typing everything, let me know your opinion ;)
