A solution to the Newsletter sign-up form with success message challenge

Solution retrospective

This was my first time using the ::before psudo class, I wonder if there was a better way to change the unorganised list bullet points and I feel I've gone overkill on the Javascript... Perhaps there is a more compact solution?
