Solution retrospective
There is a fantastic study by Prof. Dr. Manu Kapur that developed the theory of "productive failure." He stated that when you struggle with a new skill and try to think deeply about a solution, this process eventually strengthens the brain's learning mechanisms.
That said, I've been using this as my motivation when I get stuck on a challenge. I try to appreciate the challenges that present themselves throughout the project, and find satisfaction when coming across a CSS rule I don't know or a simple sizing error. I'm happy to remain optimistic and maintain my composure, regardless of how difficult things become.
Additionally, when I follow along with a video, I take notes and try to recall everything by memory. Most importantly, I ensure I know exactly what I'm executing. I'm proud of maintaining this accountability to keep me honest and continually learning.
What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?My HTML process started disorganized, as I didn't create proper class names or utilize HTML semantics, and made unnecessary groupings that led to the complex implementation of the Flexbox Rule.
I eventually figured it out with the help of W3Schools and Mr Coder.
My problem was that I wasn't grouping my items correctly within my content and wasn't utilizing CSS Grid and Flexbox effectively.
What specific areas of your project would you like help with?I still need help with the Clamp() and Calc() font-sizing. I believe that once I master these adjustments, I will feel a lot more confident creating responsive text.
Responsiveness is what's mainly essential for me.
Happy Coding & Blessings!
