Solution retrospective
I am still unsure of how to retain the colors of the hover state when the buttons for the rating are clicked in order to highlight its difference from other buttons upon being clicked. I am equally not sure of its outlook on mobile devices as i didn't use any media queries. Any suggestion or constructive criticism is welcome.
