Responsive, accessible news homepage with Grid and Sass

In my opinion, the result is very close to the original design. However, next time I would focus on improving the accuracy of the text formatting and the sizing of the boxes. Keyboard navigation also needs some enhancements. That said, I’m generally happy with this solution. It gave me a great opportunity to practice accessibility guidelines and work on aligning my solution with them, as well as using CSS Grid more effectively.

In this project, the most challenging part was building the mobile navigation. I first had to understand how the open and openModal functions work, and how they affect the rest of the layout. For example, when a dialog element is opened in modal mode, it blocks interaction with the rest of the page—good to know for future projects!
