Looks good, just missing the background colour really.
And you're right, this doesn't really need media queries except possibly for background image placement.
Your html has a few issues at the moment that could do with improving

What I might suggest is working a little bit more on responsiveness, and assign a background color for your page, which is hsl(185, 75%, 39%). You may use my solution as a reference to help you with that 🙂
