Space-tourism solution w/ html, css, google fonts - desktop

Solution retrospective
This project was great for testing my front-end abilities and I think I nailed the UI for desktop resolution but I am not very experienced in responsive design and it looks like trash on smaller screens. I tried adding a few media queries but overall that was my biggest struggle. Please let me know of some tips to make my websites less static
I also placed the crew pictures using positioning (lines 352-382 in styles.css) with the root file as the containing block, but I think giving them their own container would've been better. Right?
With both of these concerns in mind, I feel like some of my CSS could have been cut down, do you see anything unnecessary or overcomplicated?

I know I took some creative liberties, but I wasn't sure if we were being assessed on how close our version is to the example or if we could mimic its style. Hopefully, it doesn't distract from the bigger issues.
