I couldn't find a solution that I understood to do the bubble on the desktop version...where should I begin to start understanding how to do it?

I had a lot of problems with the image, the worst one was with "object-fit: cover". It wasn't working and I'm not sure I fixed it well.

I tried to align the purple cards with "align-items" and "align-self"(on the desktop version), but it didn't work...I had to use margins....Would someone explain me why it wouldn't work? Thanks!

I struggled a lot positioning the images. Which approch or properties would be better for this kind of layout?
