I noticed you are trying hard to manually control the responsive sizing, which will ruin the responsiveness. Try using percentages for sizing most of the time like w-9/10, max-w-md. use my solution as a reference and I highly encourage you to take Conquering responsive designs course by Kevin Powell. It is completely free. I personally learned responsive web development from that course.
