Check the font family you used on the h1, I think it's different from the design they gave.

Hello everyone, i used the font-family that came on the style-guide.md, tho it seems way more different than the one used on the picture, i tried diferent weights and font sizes but still didn't look anything near the one on the pic.

Did you link to google font before using the font family provided? You have to link to google for the font family to work.

Asides using percentages, what other responsive units can I use for non-text elements?

rem units, also you should set your font size to rem unit and use em units when applying margin or padding to the fonts.

This is the closest I got. I am new to HTML and CSS (well, coding in general), so go easy on me and forgive my mistakes :). I am open to corrections, eager to learn more. thank you!

Okay, checked out your code and you've done well with the markup, you have to style though. Have you added any css yet?
