Really good. The only problem is that the background doesn't fit to my screen properly. It only takes up about 80% of the left side of my screen.

The only thing would be to look into box-shadow. It's fairly common to use and the example showed a shadow, but your example didn't.

I don't know if it's intentional, but hovering over the sides of the buttons changes the color, but doesn't change the color of the words. The words only change to white when directly hovering over them.

It can be done with the box-shadow command with CSS. Google that command and it's pretty simple overall.
