Nice, for the background I had the same type of issue where the image moved and could not get it right and all , I think I remember it is solved by using the ::before pseudo selector as the background container

Should add a few media query to switch to mobile version, but the desktop version looks ok

Good job, you could add a media query for mobile size to improve it ;) edit: there is a media query actually, but the two sections don't swap to vertical design and they stay next to each other horizontally on my screen
