Although solution is nice but you can make few changes to make it more perfect like the given design :-
- Use body background color similar to all screen size as mentioned in preview.
- Make your text left align you can use positioning property in css like relative or absolute.

Perfect Responsive Page. Look Good but you can use HTML Code more better
- Use HTML5 semantic tags.
- You forget to use one div as mentioned by guide index.htm page.So you use it in the footer.
