What are you most proud of, and what would you do differently next time?

I'm proud of the small animations made by motion js. And that I actually finnished the project (this one dragged out on time). I skipped the cpu part, local storage and did not have the energy to add sound.

If I would tackle this challenge again I would probably spend some more time making the layout more responsive, especially the board. I think I could use aspect-ratio property and min max width better, now I used a lot of fixed values which I don't like.

What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

I spend a lot of time on the actual board, how to align the counters with the svg backgrounds. I think I ended up re-creating the counters using html/css instead of using the provided svg.

What specific areas of your project would you like help with?

If you find any issues leave a comment! 😊

Great job on the design! Just a small suggestion: if these elements are meant to navigate users to different pages or sections (like links), it’s better to use the <a> tag for semantic accuracy and accessibility. You can style the <a> elements with CSS to make them look like buttons. This approach ensures proper functionality and accessibility, especially for screen readers and keyboard navigation. Avoid using <button> unless the element triggers an action within the page (like submitting a form or interacting with the DOM).

Feel free to check out my solution to this challenge if you'd like to see how I approached it.

Great project overall, well done! I just have a few suggestions for improvement:

    • For the title hover effect, I think it would look better if you used the same yellow as the background to keep the color scheme consistent.

    • I felt there could be a bit more space below the date. You could add some margin-bottom, or even better, use flexbox with row-gap to create consistent spacing between elements.

    • Instead of a <div class="main-container">, you could have used a <main> element for better semantic HTML.

Other than that, really nice work!
