Your solution looks great however I think the register button needs a box-shadow using box-shadow.
In terms of your accessibility issue simply wrap all your content between main tags.

Oh, damn! I didn't see the shadow in the image design! Thanks for the report.
On the second point you're right, but I wanted to put the logo separate from the main box, thinking it was the right choice.
By the way, the solution looks great, but I'm not sure that the responsive design is good too. I have problems on devices with big screen size
