I need help getting the slider background to actually adjust on Chrome. It somewhat works on firefox, but It doesn't update on chrome at all.

I'm having some trouble getting this project to be fully responsive. As far as mobile and desktop views it looks good in the spec sizes. However when I leave those sizes it can get pretty messy. Any advice on how to fix this?
