    Hey @Willearyson, it does not seem that your deployment worked as expected on netlify. Maybe check if it's looking at the right directory?

    Hello !

    This is my first challenge in Frontend Mentor.

    Although I recently finished a Web Development course, I don't have much experience with HTML and CSS.

    What did you think of my project? Would you make any improvements?

    Thank you !!

    My main advice would be to work on the nested buttons so not having an anchor tag inside a button simply because usually, you'd want one or the other. Also, this was my very first time seeing another language other than english on a coding project. That was pretty cool. The overall outcome of the project I think was great though. Hopefully, we get to see more finished projects from you in the future!

    @ibnsmay96; yes, you can definitely do this with flexbox. I think grid might be the smartest and easiest approach for the wrapper but it can be done with flex as well. Great job overall though. I know, from experience, this challenge can be tricky so really well done on completing it.

    After watching some video tutorials on Bootstrap I became really motivated to apply my knowledge to a project. I had a lot of fun with it and learned a lot, especially with Bootstraps grid system and modals. I also used JavaScript to increase the backers number and the progress bar after a donation. For the mobile navbar I used the default Bootstrap behavior and it´s okay for me. I would be happy for some feedback :)

    I really love the way you build this project. I cannot honestly find something worth complaining or a nit to pick about this. It is responsive, the animation delays are great, hover effects are amazing. The bookmark state transition is solid. All around great job! I'm sure there might be some underlying thing to improve on but to a user, I cannot find it. :)

    Hey yoh 🙂, I'm new to web designing & still getting used to it. I've created my first NEWBIE-Free challenge, the Huddle Landing Page with 90% accuracy ( I think ) but I was unable to set the background image ( desktop & mobile svg_s ) sizes that fit into the given parameters. Anyhow If I change width, height, or both properties according to my screen view - the background svg_s either span out or stretched. later I tried some CSS solutions but nothing comes out helpful. All I want to know how to set the background svg_s as the same as in the website pre-preview images that were given.

    ~Thanks~

    I built this project along with my friend minhui, We faced a lot of issue when we built app with api. We wrote a memo in google drive. Just in case anyone having same issue can take our note as reference

    I don't know if Thank you is even the phrase I'm looking for or what I need to use to respond to your memo. I'd been stuck on this challenge FOREVER because of CORS. I could not find any proxy that worked or anything! Thank you sooo soo much for taking the time to write that memo. I shall finish this project up now. This was sooo frustrating!!!

    Hey! Nice work! I only checked this on mobile and it looked great. I have one suggestion, try to add a little more space between the social icons. Other than that, I saw nothing wrong with it on mobile

    What you mean by not being able to add the js. Is it that you're not understanding what's required or is it that you understand what's expected but not how to do it?

    The images as funds from the sides, have been a long investment time to position them. if they had some better way or a tutorial where they explain a better way. It would be very helpful

    Hey, do you mind explaining a little more the issue you're having with the images, I can try to help.

    Also, double check the mobile version of the page, specifically the spacing.

    Mobile version looks fine except for the button towards the bottom. It's initially purple and can't be seen on initial render. So I had to tap it to see it. Maybe double check on the bg color there

    Hello everyone, This is my first challenge. If you have time to review my code, i'd like comments on the structure and the BEM methodology I try to implement. Thanks a lot for your feedbacks.

    @adluders

    Posted

    Ok I'm going to be extremely picky here, so brace yourself. I think you did well implementing BEM; HOWEVER 😂, I would suggest instead of doing something like card__lineOne, two, etc..., do something like card__title and card__subtitle. I said that simply because I feel like that's more flexible. Had this not have just 2 lines, you'd have to do like card__lineFive, etc. Again EXTREME PICKINESS, not saying you did a bad job or trying to bash you. 😎

    I developed the website but I'm not a master with position: relative, absolute and fixed.

    When I change the screen size, the images in the background move.

    However, I want then to stay relative to the card component, but I'm not reaching the expected result.

    Can anyone help me out? :)

    @adluders

    Maybe try to make the images as background images instead of absolutely positioned images. I'm not sure if that'll make MUCH of a difference but I think that might be worth exploring.

    Struggled with it a little bit, not quite responsive. Would appreciate feedback, thank you in advance. ☺☺

    One thing I'd suggest to help with the responsiveness, is to not use a px based width for each card. Maybe try using percentage based, specially when it starts getting to mobile, that way each card can be flexible and adjust based on the viewport width. Also, maybe remove the grid-template-columns property on tablet sizes and below because then all the cards would be aligned in the middle of the page. Hopefully those tips helped! Great work!

    Hi There, Today I've completed this challenge and I tried to make the project 100% pixel perfect as shown in the design. Let me know if there's something that I've missed to do or give me some suggestions that how could I make this project more perfect.

    Thank You

    WOW! Really good job, specially in the responsiveness of it. My only suggestion would be to get in the habit of adding alt attribute to img tags because of accessibility and what not. Also, I love the hover effect you have on the ratings section!

    Hey, so for the gradient border, try something like this on the card: border: 0; border-top: solid (same px amount as others) transparent; background-image: linear-gradient(INSERT COLORS HERE); background-origin: border-box; background-clip: padding-box, border-box;

    Let me know if that makes sense and if it works

    Hey, the design looks really great to be honest. I checked some of the HTML and accessibilities you have. Most of them can be fixed by adding "off" to your autocomplete instead of false. The functionality of the app works well though, so I think you did pretty well. :)

    My first page after taking a bit of a break over the holidays. Took a few tries to get the HTML structure to look right and figure out the CSS to go with it. I found the background really difficult to get in the correct position and tried my best to get it close as possible. Any feedback would be great.

    @adluders

    Background positioning is always tough, specially when you have to include negative values but I think you did you did a pretty good job.

    I struggled with the circles in the background, at the end I chose them to be background images but I think another proper solution would have been to put them in the body of the html and style them with position, however I couldn't achieve what I wanted because the circles overlapped onto the card and also they messed up the responsiveness. Any ideas? Thank!

    @adluders

    Posted

    I honestly think putting them as background was a good idea. My only suggestion would be to not flex the body itself, perhaps flex the main tag that you have on there. I feel like that might be a personal preference but other than that, I think you did really well. It felt responsive on my computer when I resize it so I think you did well.

    Hi Samyr, Overall, I think you did pretty well with this. My suggestion would be to try to keep the card centered at all times by using something like flex or margin auto or something. I also think, maybe try to focus on the overflow of elements. The body seems to be taller than the amount of contents it had in there. Also regarding mobile first, I think that would help with what I first mentioned. Had it been mobile first, you would simply have to adjust the positioning of the background patterns while keeping the card in the center of the page. Let me know if what I say makes sense or if you have any questions.
